Dwayne Alan Potter was born, January 2, 1965 to Marilyn (Blackford) Potter and Charles Potter in Newton, Iowa. He enjoyed all the privileges of being the only son. The family moved to Granger Iowa soon after. Dwayne grew up being an avid baseball player and loved racing.

Sadly in his early teens both his parents passed away. His sister Kathy took the lead of the family and raised him until he was an adult.

Dwayne used to race hobby stock at the Iowa State Fair Grounds. He loved working on, buying, and trading cars. He seemed to find a way to fix anything wrong with his cars, and if it couldn’t be fixed he would find a way to break it.

Dwayne could be hard headed and stubborn, but through it all he loved his family especially his wife of 12 years Janette. Janette was the love of his life and loved her since the day Kathy had introduced them. Together they had a deep passion for the animals in their lives.

Dwayne is survived by his wife Janette, his son Brandon (Crystal) Behle, two daughters Tiffany Potter and Marilyn Potter; a step-daughter Kristin Johnston; a sister Kathy (Joel) Harper; five grandturkeys Geoffrey, Peyton, Collin, Javon, and Brandon; and many nieces and nephews. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Brenda.
