Bernice (Beltz) Robbins age 102 passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at her home, Regency Care Center, in Norwalk.
A visitation will be Monday, February 10th from 1 to 2 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m at O'Leary Funeral & Cremation Services, Norwalk. Burial will take place immediately following at Norwalk Cemetery.

Berniece's Life Story
Berniece (Beltz) Robbins was born September 9, 1917, the daughter of Albert and Dora (Dillard) Beltz near Spring Hill, Iowa. She graduated from Spring Hill High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Drake University and a Master of Arts Degree from Teachers' College, Columbia University, in New York City. She taught in several schools in Iowa, completing her career in teaching hearing impaired children in Des Moines.
She loved all farm animals, dogs and cats, and especially ponies. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and reading.
Berniece married Howard C. Robbins on July 2, 1964. They spent many years on the family farm near Spring Hill. After retiring from teaching, they spent many winters in Texas.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Karen Bailey; Karen's daughters, Brooke Bjorkman and Bridget Bailey; cousins, Donna (Bob) Olsem of Ankeny and Dorothy Bowers of Des Moines; and a host of extended family and friends.
Berniece was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, and a beloved niece.
