Carole's Life Story

Carole Jean, the daughter of Richard and Mary (nee: Cordner) Siebold, was born in Glendale, California in 1942.  She graduated from San Fernando High School with the Class of 1960.  She moved with her family to Des Moines, Iowa in 1967 where she became a registered nurse from the Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in 1972, and later completing her Bachelor of Nursing from St. Francis College in 1978.  During this time Carole was a homemaker raising her children and working in the recovery room (post anesthesia) at Iowa Methodist Hospital.   Carole moved to Virginia for work and then to Arizona where she worked for Renal Care Group as a dialysis nursing supervisor.

In Arizona she met her future husband, Frank Jones, and they were married on August 12, 1994.  Thereafter, Frank was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease so they moved to Wichita, KS to be near Frank’s children.  They also lived for a short time in South Carolina and Virginia before moving to Des Moines in 2007 where Frank moved to the Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown for 3 years before passing away in 2015.  Following his death, Carole married Frank’s brother, Jim Jones then of Des Moines.  Together they made their home in Des Moines.

Carole was a devoted dialysis nursing manager for many years.  She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, quilting, house painting, playing board games, taking walks, and had a collection of birds (mainly swans).

Carole is survived by her beloved Shih-Tzu  Sadie; husband, Jim of Des Moines; a brother Mel (Myrna) Siebold of Connecticut; children, Todd (Janet) Kincheloe of Arkansas, Alan (Juliana) Kincheloe of Des Moines, Janette Brenner of South Carolina, and Mark Kincheloe of Arizona; a step-child, Carol (Joe) Drbohlav; 9 grandchildren, Justin (Elina), Jessica (Michael), Alex (Audra), Alyssa, Angela, Nicholas, Laura (Jacob), Paul and Joseph (Madyson);  three great-grandchildren, Kaleigh, Jeremy and Adales; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank Jones in 2015; and a brother Phil Siebold.
