Jordan Turnbull, age 25, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, December 1, 2019 in Des Moines following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 6th at O'Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 7th at the Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines. Jordan's Life Story
Jordan Matthew, the son of Kevin Turnbull and Stacie Campbell was born on November 3, 1994 in Des Moines, Iowa.
He grew up in Norwalk attending school and then earning his Masonry Trade Degree at Denison Job Corp in Denison, Iowa. While growing up he was involved with gymnastics, soccer, four wheelers, and motocross racing; traveling throughout central Iowa and to Wisconsin. He especially enjoyed climbing on anything he could get on such as trees, neighbor’s homes, and balconies. Following school, he returned to Norwalk and worked with his father, Kevin at his business Turnbull Tree Service. Jordan had a love for country swing dancing.
Jordan had a strong relationship with his God and Creator. His ministry during his short time on earth is he never knew a stranger and always made everyone around him feel right at home. He enjoyed volunteering his time by serving the homeless; helping with meals and gathering supplies to donate.
Jordan loved his babies, Bowen Turnbull and Maya Anne Rolland, and cherished the time he was able to spend with them.
He is survived by his children, Bowen Turnbull and Maya Rolland; mother, Stacie (Jeremy) Baker of Norwalk and father, Kevin (Michelle) Turnbull of Norwalk; his siblings, Ryan (Victoria) Turnbull, Jacob Turnbull, Joshua Turnbull, Jocelyn Turnbull, Jobe Turnbull, Mekhail Baker, Trinity Baker, Jacob Weidmann, Amber (Tyler) Rabey, Mason Crabbs, and Kelli Crabbs; grandparents, Dwain and Dorothy Turnbull and Penny (Colin) Hart, and Dan and Sherry Baker; and a host of family and friends.
Jordan was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Turnbull of Norwalk and grandfather, Richard Campbell.
