Ruth Anne Black, age 78, of Norwalk, who died Wednesday evening, February 27, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 7th at O'Leary Funeral & Cremation Services in Norwalk.

Ruth's Life Story
Ruth Black was born April 21, 1940 to Charles and Lena Glenn. She grew up in Runnells, and moved throughout her life to Indianola, Creston and most recently, Altoona. Ruth was a homemaker and later a became a certified nursing assistant in the Des Moines area. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing along to country music and attending the Assembly of God Church.
Ruth died peacefully February 27, 2019 at the Regency Care Center in Des Moines. She lived 78 years, 10 months, and 6 days. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Charles “Butch” Glenn and Marguerite Brubaker.
Ruth is survived by her children, Robert (Amanda) Keiran, Ellyn (Sam) Poston, and Mitchell Hines II; siblings, Pete Taber Jr., Phyllis Ferris, and Lola Bristoll; grandchildren, Devyn Fix, Danielle McPherson, and Megan Ingram; and host of many family members.
