Darlene Marie (Fleetwood) Herrlinger was born in Bloomington, Indiana, on April 4, 1933.  While growing up in Bloomington she met her middle-school sweetheart and eventual love of her life, Allan “Whitey”.  Darlene and Whitey were married on March 28, 1953. Her dedication to her family as a supportive wife and mother was one of her biggest and most cherished accomplishments.

She spent her free time with her family, grandchildren and her husband and best friend “Whitey”. One of her most important roles was being a grandmother, “Nonnie”, as her grandchildren lovingly called her. Darlene will be missed most for her positive outlook, hugs, warm smile and the way she took care of those she loved. Darlene was a loving mother, wife and grandmother.

Darlene’s ashes will be scattered in a private family ceremony at the beach, a special place where numerous family memories were made with her husband and loved ones.
