Frankie Mae Jackson's Life Story
Frankie Mae Jackson was born 9 August 1967 in Yazoo, Mississippi and received her wings on 26 September 2020. She was the youngest child born to John & Lola Mae Jackson.
Frankie was known by her family as “Honey.” She attended Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana. She later relocated to San Diego, California and attended & graduated from The Job Corps. The achievement of completing Job Corps was a big accomplishment and received high praise from her siblings although Idella teased her about wearing a dress…Frankie hated wearing dresses.
After a few years, she relocated to Des Moines, Iowa where she gained employment at Carlisle Care Center where she worked for nearly twenty years and she rarely took time off for herself. She loved taking care of people and was rewarded by moving up to the position of cook.
Frankie was preceded in death by her father John Jackson, brothers Rueben Isaac & Eddie James Jackson.
Frankie is survived by her mother Lola Jackson; sisters Delores (Lawney) Mullen, Valerie Nunn Hill of Dallas, Texas, Rosie Lee (Ronald) Blake of Dayton, Ohio, Idella Jackson and brother Sherman Lee (Maggie) Isaac of Des Moines. Frankie also leaves behind Uncles Roosevelt (Wanda) Riley and Eddie Lee (Linda) Barnes of Gary, Indiana and Aunts Lillian Barnes of Gary, Indiana and Ella Barnes of St. Paul, Minnesota as well as a host of cousins, nieces & nephews with a number of great nieces & nephews.
