Celebration of Life Services for Steven Standridge, age 45, of Norwalk, will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30th at O’Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk. Memorials to the Norwalk Rescue will be accepted.

An open-visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 29th at O'Leary Funeral Services. Members of the family may [or may not] be present during this time.

Steven's Life Story
Steven Newton Standridge passed away April 14, 2020. Steve was born June 22, 1974 in Des Moines to N. Newton and Carol (Jones) Standridge.
Steve grew up in Norwalk and attended Norwalk Schools. After living in Des Moines for 5 years, he returned to Norwalk. Steve spent his years working in the printing industry and for the past three years enjoyed working for Christian Edwards Printers. Steve loved kids, big dogs, growing plants, wood working, disc golf, and helping others. He loved spending time with friends, and he learned sign language so he could communicate with those friends who were deaf. He loved being an uncle most of all.
Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Carolyn Jones, North English, IA; and Eaphy and Gladys Standridge, Waldron, AR.
Steve will be lovingly remembered by his parents; his brother Mike (Ashley), Spring Valley, CA; his niece ShiAnne; his “adopted sister” Karmen Anderson (Matt), Des Moines, IA; Godson Rylan Anderson, Belton, TX, “niece” Kyra Anderson, Des Moines; uncles Duane Jones, Williamsburg, IA and Dennis (Kathy) Standridge, Lamar, AR; his cousins Mark Standridge, St. Louis, MO and Amber Standridge (Jon and family) Beckman, Washington D.C.
