Tera's Life Story
Tera Lynn (Teut) Endres, the youngest child born to Nancy (Bruhn) Teut and Corvin Teut, was born on Wednesday, November 22,1978 at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, IA. Tera graduated from the Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto High School with the class of 1997. After graduation she attended the University of South Dakota in Vermillon; later moving to Lincoln, NE; finishing her degree at Doane College while working at Ameritas Insurance.
In 2004, Tera moved to West Des Moines to accept a position with the Annuity New Business Team of Sammons Financial Group. Tera’s drive for efficiency, customer focus & dedication to Sammons Financial Group is what made her a great team member & was evident to everyone who had the pleasure of working with her. It was there she met her husband Brandon and they married in 2006.
First and foremost Tera was a dedicated wife and loved being a mother. A proud soccer mom who traveled the area and around the states supporting Reagan and Caden with their Sporting Iowa soccer teams. She never missed getting them to their practices or their games. When not on the soccer field she could be found on a basketball court watching her son Caden and if not there, on the Norwalk HS soccer field cheering Reagan from the stands. Her heart was full of compassion and empathy for others and installed this in her kids through all of her great life lessons. She was the first to greet everyone with a big smile, a warm hug and always made sure everyone was having a good time. “She was the glue that held us all together”
She was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and enjoyed the many family trips to Iowa City and especially looked forward to the family Thanksgiving rivalry of the Iowa/Nebraska game.
Tera died peacefully Thursday morning, May 28, 2020 at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines, Iowa. She was 41 years, 6 months, and 6 days. Tera is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Alice Bruhn and Kermit and Irene Teut; a brother in infancy, Jay; uncles Delphin Bruhn, Roger Teut and Ron Teut; and a Cousin Reggie Bruhn.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband Brandon; two children, who were most important in her life, Reagan and Caden; mother, Nancy Teut of Urbandale; father Corvin Teut of Norwalk, IA, three siblings, Gina (Cory) Guticz of Kearney, MO, Ryan (Kellie) Teut of Council Bluffs, IA, Jaci (Mark) Leitgeb of Charlotte, NC, and Tim (Nancy) Friemuth of Pomery, IA; her father and mother-in-law, Terry and Kathryn Endres of Norwalk; two sibling-in-laws, Angela Johnson of Winterset and Matt (Julie) Endres of Norwalk; her nieces and nephews, Brittany (David), Cameron, Renata, Gage, Gracie, Colton (Katie), Makena, Brooklyn, Josh (Tiffany), Tanner (Lindsey) Chet (Kaitlyn), Clay, Kiersten, Hannah, Jacob and Tyler; six great-nephews and three great-nieces, Jackson, Roman, Gage, Tucker, Cash, Riggin and Remington, Betsy and Winnie; and two special Australian Shepherd fur babies Gertie and Sophie.
Tera brought her own sunshine wherever she went.
Her sweet smile and fun personality will forever be remembered in everyone’s heart.
Let her complete awesomeness and positive energy inspire confidence in all of us.
