Victoria Sue Cassady, age 71, of Norwalk peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 18 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at O'Leary Celebration of Life Center in Norwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 19 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Norwalk. Burial will immediately follow at the Norwalk Cemetery.

Victoria “Vicki” Sue Cassady came into this life on September 30, 1949 to Donald & Charolette (Agee) McGarey in Maryville, Missouri. Along with her family, including her sister Anita & brother Stephen, lived in Maryville throughout her early years, eventually graduating from Maryville High School in 1968.
Shortly after graduating high school, Vicki’s family moved to Des Moines where she met the love of her life, Dennis Cassady. On October 9, 1972, Vicki & Dennis were united in marriage at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Thus, starting a family that would grow into a family of five with the addition of three children: Matthew, Andrea & Valerie.
Vicki spent her time has a homemaker and raising a family through the years as well as being a Teacher’s Aide in the West Des Moines school district. She enjoyed playing a game of Bunco with the ladies, spending time with her family & enjoying family meals together and spoiling her four grandkids.
On Sunday, March 14, 2021, Vicki passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Valerie Cassady; parents, Donald & Charolette (Agee) McGarey; and brother, Stephen McGarey.
Vicki’s memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Dennis Cassady of Norwalk; son, Matthew Cassady of Altoona; daughter, Andrea (Vince) Yoder of Norwalk; four grandchildren: Lauren Cassady, Samuel Yoder, Creighton Cassady and Sadie Yoder; and her sister Anita Lemke.
